The Gull Inn

The Gull Inn

Four miles South of Norwich on the A146 lies The Gull Inn. This traditional country pub hold a varying selection of real ales as well as premium continental lagers. Anne and Mario welcome you to their country pub, and delight in preparing for you an extensive range of English and Continental cuisine.

Real Ale

Real ale straight from the barrel. We delight in the variety of real ale available and do all we can to present the cask conditioned beers as well as possible. Local brew Abbott Ale is a firm favourite and other brews top the bill including Woodeford's Wherry, Oakham Bishop's Farewell and a host of others.

Live Music

Come in for a meal and finish off the evening dancing on the table with the Rockin' Johnnies! Or kick back and listen to some jazz after a light supper.

From Milan To Framingham!

Anne and Mario Cardy-Iacovazzo came to Norfolk in 2002, bringing with them their experience of running restaurants in Paris and Milan. Since then The Gull has seen the benefit of extensive re-decoration and the development of the menu to include a selection of dishes from around England and Europe. The drink menu has also been extended to include some of the best lagers and real ales available to a Free house.

18th Century Coaching Inn

Built in the 18th Century, The Gull Inn provides a country pub atmosphere within five miles of the centre of Norwich. Friendly locals share the tranquil atmosphere, where the open fire and exposed beams of the snug cast their spell; while in summer a beer garden provides a great place to sip a half of Peroni lager while the kids let off steam.

All of the traditional pub activities are been welcomed with an active darts team, a pool room and live music every other Saturday. A monthly quiz night is also a popular event.

Real Ales A variety of real ales are kept in the climate controlled cellar. This allows for the ale to be presented to you in top condition. All real ale is served straight from the barrel, and both the Abbot ale and the Bishop's Farewell have been recognised locally as best in the area.

Lager As well as the old favourites, like Carlesberg and Fosters, Mario has introduced us to draft Nastro Azzuro Peroni, a premium lager from Italy. Stella Artois is also available on draft, and a wide selection of bottled lagers are kept in the cooler.

Children Welcome

.Children are welcome at The Gull, and a child menu is always available during kitchen hours.

It should be noted that due to licensing laws, children are not permitted at the bar, but are allowed to use the pool room and of course the snug and the restaurant.
